MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's swimming and diving team won eight events Friday evening at home as it defeated Sioux Falls 161-133.
With the win, MSU improves to 2-1 in dual action this season, while USF drops to 1-1.
The Mavericks won both the 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay events. The quartet of freshman

Maggie Knier posted a time of 1:47.65 in the 200 medley relay, while the team of Knier, Jordan, Streiff and freshman
Anja Enervold turned in a time of 1:39.55 in the 200 freestyle relay.
MSU won four individual events. Borgenheimer won both the 100 and 200 breaststroke event with times of 1:06.77 and 2:23.20, respectively. Knier finished first in the 100 freestyle with a time of 54.14, while Enervold took first in the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:09.69.

Hannah Guy posted the top score in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 223.95. Senior
Hannah Gosen finished first in the 3-meter diving event with a score of 218.35, with Guy following right behind in second place with a score of 211.60.
Minnesota State continues its season on Saturday, Nov. 3, as it takes part in a double dual against Gustavus Adolphus and UW-Stevens Points at 1:00 p.m. The diving events will be hosted by MSU, while GAC hosts the swim events.
