MANKATO, Minn. --- The Minnesota State women's basketball team continues its homestand against MSU Moorhead on Saturday at 4:00 p.m. The Mavericks will then wrap up the weekend on Sunday hosting No. 19 Northern State. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m.

Controlling the Boards: Minnesota State is ranked fifth in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) with 40.2 rebounds per contest. The Mavericks lead the NSIC in offensive rebounds with 14.1 per game. Minnesota State pulled down a season-high 53 rebounds against Palm Beach Atlantic and Chaminade.
Off the Bench: Freshman
Kirstin Klitzke is averaging 5.7 points off the bench this season. The Montrose, Minn., native has reached double digits in scoring in three of the last five games including a game-high and season-best 15 points against Concordia-St. Paul.
Facing the Top-25: The Mavericks encounter with No. 19 Northern State will be its first game against a top-25 opponent this season.
Chasing the 800-point/500 Rebound Club: Senior
Claire Ziegler is looking to become the 14th member of the MSU 800-point/500 rebound club. She currently sits at 765 points and 481 rebounds over 77 career games.

Emilee Thiesse has totaled 99 career wins with an overall career record of 99-58 (74-41 NSIC). She has led the Mavericks to two NCAA postseason appearances and boasts a 55-19 (.743) record at Taylor Center.
Scouting MSU Moorhead: MSU Moorhead is located in Moorhead, Minn., and enters the week with a 7-3 (4-2 NSIC) record. Most recently, the Dragons outlasted Northern State, 64-61, in overtime. MSU Moorhead is led by Karla Nelson who is in her 18th season.

In their most recent encounter, Northern State topped Minnesota State, 62-47, last season in Aberdeen, S.D. The Wolves have won the last six meetings and hold the slight edge in the all-time series, 10-9.
