Mankato, Minn. --- The Minnesota State University volleyball team will welcome Northern State on Friday at 7:00 p.m., before wrapping up at the weekend on Saturday hosting MSU Moorehead with the first serve set for 4:00 p.m.
Mavericks at a Glance: Minnesota State enters the week with an overall record of 11-11 and a 5-9 record in the Northern Sun Collegiate Conference (NSIC). The Mavericks are currently riding a two-match win streak after toping U-Mary, 3-1, and Minot State, 3-1, on the road.

Autumn Risch posted a match-high in assists against both U-Mary (43) and Minot State (46). She has reached at least 40 assists in 10 matches this season including a career-high 60 assists performance against Wayne state on Oct. 7.
Servin' Up Aces: Minnesota State posted a season-high nine service aces at Minot State. Sophomore
Sydney Powell led the Mavericks with a career-best six service aces.
Under the Radar: Freshman
Morgan Olson has totaled at least 10 kills in six matches this season. Last weekend she reached double digits against U-Mary (15) and Minot State (13).
Block Party: Minnesota State matched a season-best 15.0 blocks against U-Mary.
The Fourth Set: The Mavericks are 5-2 in matches ending in the fourth set. Most recently, Minnesota State downed Minot State, 3-1, in the four sets.
Climbing the All-Time Ranks: Following her performance last weekend,
Krista Hassing passed Kari Spang-Lombardi to move into seventh all-time with 1,271 career kills. Chelsea Fogarty (2009-2012) is the all-time Maverick kill leader with 1, 558 career kills.
Scouting Northern State: Northern State is located in Aberdeen, S.D., and has an overall record of 16-6 and 9-5 conference record. The Wolves are members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Northern State is ranked No. 13 in this weeks AVCA Coaches Poll. The Wolves have won three of their last four matches with the lone loss coming against No. 6 Winona State, 3-0. In it's most recent match, Northern State swept Upper Iowa, 3-0, in Aberdeen, S.D. The Wolves are led by Brent Alridge, who is in his sixth season.
The last time these two schools met, Northern State swept Minnesota State, 3-0, in Aberdeen, S.D. However, Minnesota State leads the all-time series, 16-6.
As a team this season, the Wolves rank fifth in the NSIC in digs with 16.4 per set. Additionally, the Wolves add 12.7 assists and 13.3 kills per set. Northern State averages 1.8 blocks per set and 1.48 service aces per set.
The Wolves are led by redshirt freshman Ashley Rozell who ranks third in the NSIC in assists with 12.0 per set. Junior Holly Vancura is notching a team-high 3.2 kills per set while freshman Jaiden Langlie contributes a team-best 3.66 digs per set.
Scouting MSU Moorehead: MSU Moorehead is located in Moorehead, Minn., and has an overall record of 9-13 and 4-10 conference record. The Dragons are members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). MSU Moorehead has lost four of their last five matches and most recently was swept by No. 6 Winona State, 3-0, in Moorehead, Minn. The Dragons are led by Tammy Blake, who is in her 21st season and is the winningest coach in school history.
The last time these two schools met, Minnesota State dropped a 3-0 decision to MSU Moorehead in Moorehead, Minn. Since 2006, the Mavericks are 8-3 against the Dragons and lead the all-time series, 20-10.
As a team this season, MSU Moorehead is totaling 12.1 kills per set while notching 11.4 assists per set. The Dragons add 17.3 digs per set and 148.5 total blocks on the season.
The Dragons are led by junior Carly Masloski who is posting a team-high 3.2 kills per set. Redshirt freshman Makayla Wenzel is notching a team-best 9.9 assists per set while sophomore Monica Vega adds 5.7 digs per set.
