Mankato, Minn. --- The Minnesota State University volleyball team will begin a three-match road trip with No. 3 Concordia-St. Paul on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. The Mavericks will then travel to take on the University of Mary on Oct. 15 at 7:00 p.m. and will wrap up the weekend at Minot State on Oct. 22 with first serve set for 4:00 p.m.

Rissi McNallan is notching a team-high 17 service aces. She posted a season-best three service aces at Minnesota Crookston.
Scouting Concordia-St. Paul: Concordia-St. Paul is located in St. Paul, Minn., and has on overall record of 17-2 and 9-2 conference record. The Golden Bears are members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Concordia-St. Paul enters this week ranked No. 3 in the AVCA Coaches Poll. The Golden Bears have won four of their last five matches and most recently swept Sioux Falls, 3-0, in St. Paul, Minn. CSP is led by Brady Starkey, who is in 14th season.
These two teams met earlier this season on Sept. 20 when the Golden Bears downed the Mavericks, 3-1, at Taylor Center. Concordia-St. Paul has won the last six meetings and leads the all-time series, 22-4.
As a team this season, the Golden Bears rank second in the NSIC in assists per set (13.9), kills per set (14.7) and hitting percentage (.321). Additionally, Concordia-St. Paul adds 15.9 digs per set and 2.0 blocks per set.
The Golden Bears are led by senior Riley Hanson who is posting a .431 hitting percentage which slots her first in the NSIC. Senior Kasey Williams is contributing 12.1 assists per set which positions her second in the NSIC. Senior Anna Schlaak rounds out the top performers with 3.43 kills per set.
Scouting U- Mary: U-Mary is located in Bismark, N.D., and has an overall record of 8-12 and 3-8 conference record. The Marauders are members Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). U-Mary enters the week on a two-match losing streak and most recently fell to Bemidji State, 3-1.
The last time these two schools met, Minnesota State toppled U-Mary, 3-0, at Taylor Center. The Mavericks have swept the Marauders in the last three matches and lead the all-time series, 12-0.
As a team this season, U-Mary is posting 13.0 kills per set and is totaling 12.3 assists per set. Defensively, the Marauders add 14.9 digs per set and 96 total blocks on the season.
Junior Lauren Randall leads U-Mary with 4.6 kills per set which ranks her second in the NSIC. Senior Alex Brown contributes a team-best 4.1 digs per set while senior Janell Finkbeiner notches 8.90 assists per set.
Scouting Minot State: Minot State is located in Minot, N.D., and has an overall record of 5-15 and 0-11 conference record. The Beavers are members of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC). Minot State is led by Ben Kaszeta, who is in his second year at the helm.
The last time these to teams squared off, Minnesota State downed the Beavers, 3-0, at Taylor Center. The Mavericks have swept the last two match ups and lead the all-time series, 3-1.
As a team this season, the Beavers are averaging 10.0 kills per set an 9.2 assists per set. Minot state also adds 11.8 digs per set and 119 total blocks on the season.
Freshman Shelby Spuller leads the Beavers with 2.22 kills per set while sophomore Kelsey Dewulf adds 5.48 assists per set. Senior Cindy Pelo rounds out the top performers with 4.2 digs per set .
