Northfield, Minn. --- The Minnesota State men's cross country team turned in a ninth-place finish at the St. Olaf Invitational held in Northfield, Minn., Saturday.
The 20-team, 8K event was held at St. Olaf College.
St. Olaf finished first in the team standings with the Oles tallying a score of 59 points and was followed by UW-Eau Claire (73), St. Thomas (128), Central (Iowa) (134), Carleton (141), Run N Fun (154), Minnesota Duluth (177), Gustavus (204), Minnesota State (257) and UW-Superior (277) rounding out the top ten.
Sophomore
Derek Cruz (26:46.6), who finished 37th, was the top Minnesota State individual. Senior
Matt Longen (27:12.1) placed 52nd, sophomore
Michael Hoff (27:15.9) placed 55th, freshman
Austin Pasch (27:16.6) placed 56th, freshman
Caleb Burke (27:18.2) placed 57th, freshman
Steven Erredge (27:24.0) placed 60th and sophomore
Brandan Gessner (27:29.7) was 61st.
