Burnsville, Minn. - Sophomore Luis Pfister has been named NSIC Men's Cross Country Athlete of the Week for the second time this season.

Pfister competed in the 40th annual Roy Griak Invitational last weekend and finished in 25th place with a personal best 8k time of 24:25.5. He finished second amongst all Division II runners in the event, being the Mavericks top finisher and helping them place ninth overall.

The Ottobeuren, Germany native has finished placed first and second respectively among D2 finishers in the first two competitions of the year.

Pfister and the Men's Cross Country Team will be competing again on October 11th at the NCAA Pre-Nats in Lawrence, Kansas.
