Mavericks Place Second At Bob Waxlax Invitational

Senior Matt Longen placed ninth in helping lead Minnesota State to a second-place finish at the Bob Waxlax Invitational

     St. Cloud, Minn. --- The Minnesota State men's cross country team placed second at the 2015 Bob Waxlax Invitational held in St. Cloud Friday.

Minnesota Dulouth won the six-team, 8K-competition with a score of 20 points and was followed by MSU (62), Winona State (62), St. Cloud State (106), Southwest Minnesota State (156) and Concordia-St. Paul (158).

Senior Matthew Longen (26:10) finished ninth as the top Minnesota State individual at the event.

Freshman 
Steven Erredge (26:11) was right behind Longen in placing tenth. Freshman Austin Pasch (26:18) posted a 12th-place finish, freshman Caleb Burke (26:21) was 14th, freshman Derek Cruz (26:30) finished 18th, sophomore Brendan Gessner (26:44) placed 25th, junior Ryan Erdman (26:50) was 28th, senior Brennan Holman (26:56) was 30th and sophomore Michael Hoff (27:05) placed 33rd, senior Alex Schoeneberger (27:08) placed 35th and junior Victor Bowen (27:24) was 45th.

Next action for the Mavericks is the 2015 Northern Sun lntercollegiate Conference Championships slated for Oct. 24th in St. Paul, Minn.
