Box Score St. Cloud, Minn.--- The Minnesota State volleyball team had its season come to an end with a straight set loss to St. Cloud State, by scores of 25-23, 25-21 and 25-21.
The Mavericks dropped the first set 25-23, in what was a tightly contest affair throughout. Freshman
Krista Hassing (Blue Earth, Minn.) led the way posting five kills, while hitting .444 in the set.
MSU would spring out to an early 4-2 lead in the second set, but end up trailing SCSU for much of the second set, falling in the set 25-21 taking a 2-0 deficit into intermission.
The Mavericks would take a 7-6 lead before the Huskies would take control of the set 15-14 and would not look back, claiming the set 25-21 earning the 3-0 straight set victory.
MSU was led by junior
Tiana Runck (Springfield, Minn.), who finished the contest with 11 kills, Hassing was the only other Maverick to reach double figures, posting 10 kills. St. Cloud State posted a .208 attacking percentage to Minnesota State's .128. MSU committed 25 attacking errors in the match.
MSU finishes the season with a 13-15 overall record and a mark of 8-10 on the circuit.
