Box Score 2 Kearney, Neb. – The No. 13 Minnesota State volleyball team took the court in the second day of
New Victorian Inn & Suites/Runza Fall Classic, The Mavericks fell to No. 2 Nebraska-Kearney in the first match of the day 3-1 but were able to close out the tournament with a 3-0 win over Truman to improve to improve to 6-2 on the season.
Minnesota State faced off against host school No. 2 Nebraska-Kearney in its first match-up of the day, the Mavericks took the first set of the day 25-17 but fell in three straight sets to the Lopers by scores of 22-25, 22-25 and 8-25 respectively.
The Mavericks were able to return to their winning ways as they closed out the
New Victorian Inn & Suites/Runza Fall Classic with a 3-0 victory over Truman by scores of 25-21, 25-18 and 25-14 to pick up their sixth win of the season.
Minnesota State will begin its conference schedule as they host Sioux Falls in the home opener at the Taylor Center on Friday, September 14 at 7:00 p.m.
