Box Score Mankato, Minn. - The Minnesota State volleyball team wrapped up a five game homestand with a 3-1 win over MSU-Moorhead to improve to an overall record of 10-3 and 4-1 in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC).
 
MSU-Moorhead came out on top in the first set by a score of 26-24. MSU-Moorhead only committed six errors to Minnesota State’s nine.
 
The second set saw eight lead changes as Minnesota State won 33-31. The Mavericks were led by senior #Courteney Steinhauser# who posted six kills in the set.
 
Minnesota State took the third game as well with a score of 25-22. Senior #Chelsea Fogarty# had four kills and four digs in the set.
 
The fourth and final game was won by Minnesota State by a score of 25-20. Fogarty added eight more kills in the final set, in the set Fogarty also recorded her 1,000 career dig, making her the fourth Maverick in School history to eclipse 1,000 career kills and digs.
 
Minnesota State was led by Fogarty who finished with 22 kills and 15 digs. The senior duo of Steinhauser and #Jill Storlie# added 15 kills and 13 kills respectively. Minnesota State also had three athletes record double digit digs lead by senior #Samantha Dale# who finished with 21. Junior #Kelli Elhardt# had 20 digs and Fogarty added 15.
 
Minnesota State will go on the road as they take on St. Cloud State at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 8 in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match-up.
