Monique Lamoureux got into the act on the power-play at 14:18 of the third period.
McCann helped Minnesota State avoid the shutout netting her third goal of the season - first on the power-play - at 17:02 in the third. Senior forward
Lauren Smith assisted the goal and has been on the scoresheet in three of four games for MSU this season.
Minnesota State (1-2-1, 1-2-1-0 WCHA) returns home next weekend to face-off against Lindenwood University - who the Mavericks swept last season - with the drop of the puck scheduled for 7:07 p.m. October 12th at All Seasons Arena.
