Mankato, Minn.---Minnesota State (4-6-0, 0-4-0 WCHA) hosts #10 Bemidji State (6-2-2, 3-2-1 WCHA) this weekend at All Seasons Arena for a Western Collegiate Hockey Association series. Friday the puck is set to drop at 7:07 p.m. as game two is slated for 3:07 p.m. on Saturday.
Bemidji State Beaver Notes:
- The No. 10-ranked Beavers (6-2-2, 3-2-1-0 WCHA, 9 points) split two home games with Minnesota last weekend.
They picked up their fourth-ever victory over No. 2-ranked Minnesota on Saturday.
- Goaltender Zuzana Tomcikova made 87 saves against UM on the weekend, including 41 last Saturday to help BSU to the 2-1 victory.
-Tomcikova needs only one more win to tie the mark for most wins in program history set by Bre Dedrickson.
- Sadie Lundquist had two goals against the Golden Gophers, including the game-winner in last Saturday’s upset win ... Lundquist leads the BSU team in points this season with six goals and 10 assists - Lundquist’s power-play goal last Saturday is the 13th of the season for BSU, who ranks fourth in the nation for power-play with a 33.3% success rate so far this season.
- The Beavers are off to their best start ever with a 6-2-2 record.
- BSU is lead by Sadie Lundquist who has six goals and ten assists.
