Whitewater, Wis. --- The Minnesota State women's bowling team went 1-4 in first day of action at the 2010 Warhawk Invitational.
The thirteenth-rated Mavericks, who totalled 4,048 pins on the day, earned a 707 win over Valparaiso, but lost twice to Elmhurst (765-678 and 939-787) and took losses to Valparaiso (1022-911) and UW-Whitewater (698-675).
MSU's top individuals on the day included freshman Hali Clark, who averaged 196 and stands seventh overall, and sophomore Kelsey Dunkle, who ranks 15th with a 178 mark.
Elmhurst, which posted a 4-1 mark Saturday and knocked down 4,055 pins stands in first place.
MSU, which stands 37-32 for the year, concludes action in the four-team event tomorrow.
