Box Score Sioux Falls, S.D.-- Minnesota State beat the Augustana College 2-0 in a NSIC match Friday afternoon, helping the Mavericks to their third win in a row.
MSU dominated the first half by pounding in two goals and putting five shots on net. The Vikings threw four shots, landing three of them on goal.

Cassie Weik scored in the 26th minute on a free kick to put MSU ahead 1-0. This was Weik's first goal of the season and ended up being the game-winner. Freshman Maverick forward
Courtney Vallarelli scored at 40:15, good for her third goal of the season. Vallarelli's was assisted by
Ashley Sykora.
The Mavericks outshot Augustana landing four shots on goal, compared to the Vikings three.
Brianne West ended the game with three shots on goal, while Vallarelli earned two.

Brittany Cygan played the first half, earning the win. Cygan made three saves increasing her save percentage to .864.
Chelsey Eley played the second half, stopping three shots and improving her save percentage to .733.
The Mavericks improve their record to 6-4-1 this season and are 4-1-1 in the NSIC. MSU is set to play Wayne State on Sunday in Wayne, Neb.
