Biography

2012: Started all 23 matches placing second on the team in goals (7), assists (11) and points (25) off 47 shots...Ranked 11th nationally in total assists...Tied a team-high with three game-winning goals including one in the 81st minute to give MSU a NCAA Tournament second round victory over Central Oklahoma (11/11)...Tied the MSU career assist record of 32 and will finish second in NSIC history with 25 career helpers in league play...Used a goal and two assists against MSU-Moorhead (9/23) for a career-high four points...Selected Academic All-NSIC and First Team All-NSIC in addition to being named Daktronics First Team All-Region and NSCAA First Team All-Region...Became one of two Mavericks to be the first Daktronics Third Team All-Americans in program history while also earning NSCAA Third Team All-America and NSCAA Scholar Second Team All-American honors.

2011: Played and started all 23 games last season...Had 23 points on the season, including four goals and 13 assists...West tied for eighth in points in the NSIC...Scored the game-tying goal against #2 GVSU with 7:42 remaining in the game (9/4)...Assisted two goals in the win over Augustana (9/1)...Hit a career-high in assists against Northern State (9/24) and Augustana (10/8) with three in each game...Scored a goal and assist against U-Mary (9/25)...Launched five shots on goal against Bemidji State... Led the NSIC in assists (13) and finished seventh in the nation in helpers...Tied a single-season school record for assists in a season (13)...Booted 33 shots on goal...Selected Second Team All-NSIC and NSIC All-Tournament Team... Named Daktronics First Team All-Region and NSCAA Second Team All-Region...An Academic All-NSIC member. 


2010: Played and started in all 20 games for the Mavericks, collecting one goal and two assists on the season…Tallied her lone goal against Upper Iowa (10/23)…Had 20 shots, good for third on the team in shots for the season. 


2009: Appeared in 20 matches starting 17 in her freshman campaign...West tallied her first point as a freshman in the 2-0 victory over Mary with an assist...Her first goal came in the 8-0 win over MSU Moorhead along with an assist for a season-high three points...West went 1-6--8 in her freshman debut and was named Honorable Mention All-NSIC.

High School: West was a four-year varsity letterwinner at Millard South High School...She started every match during her high school career and served as team captain her junior and senior seasons...West was named super state second-team her sophomore year, helping the Patriots to the semi-finals in the state tournament...She was named all-state her freshman and sophomore seasons and to the all-metro team her sophomore, junior and senior years...She was the leading scorer in Class A her freshman season...West is a Gold and Silver honor roll student, earned an academic letter and was named a metro conference scholar-athlete and academic all-state. Personal: Born Nov. 22, 1990...She is the daughter of Jim and Lauri West...A proposed biology major.
