Mankato, Minn. — The Minnesota State women's volleyball – ranked #14 in the nation – survived a four-game match (25-17, 25-27, 26-24, 25-21) against Upper Iowa Friday evening in front of 234 fans in the Taylor Center on the campus of Minnesota State University.
The Mavericks were led by sophomore outside hitter
Chelsea Fogarty who pounded a match-high 17 kills to go with 13 digs.
Senior rightside hitter
Kimber Kuhl added 13 kills – including the match clinching point – while hitting .429 for the match. Senior outside hitter
Amanda Beekman added 12 kills in the win.
Junior setter
Stamer set the table for the Maverick offense all night long as she finished with 42 assists and 12 digs. Stamer also provided five kills in seven attempts to finish the night with a .714 hitting percentage. Sophomore
Samantha Dale added 13 digs in the win.
Upper Iowa was paced by Nicky Brown who finished with 13 digs and 13 kills.
Minnesota State (15-6, 7-6 NSIC) continues its three-game homestand Saturday afternoon against Winona State at 4 p.m. Following the game, the team will hold an autograph session on the Taylor Center Concourse.
