Mankato, Minn. --- The Minnesota State volleyball team, ranked 13th in the nation, downed the Minnesota, Crookston 3-0 Friday night. The Mavericks defeated the Golden Eagles by scores of 25-8, 25-13 and 25-17.
Sophomore outside hitter Megan Ysker led MSU with eight kills, while senior right-side hitter Kimber Kuhl tallied seven. Setting up the kills was junior setter Brittany Stamer, who finished with 30 assists.
Ysker also led the Mavericks in blocks with five and junior defensive specialist Alli Rice and sophomore outside hitter Chelsea Fogarty each tallied 11 digs.
Minnesota State (11-3 overall, 3-3 NSIC) will finish up the weekend against the MSU Moorhead Dragons tomorrow afternoon at Taylor Center. The Match is slated to start at 4:00 p.m.
