Bemidji, Minn. --- The Mavericks finished action at Bemidji State by suffering their ninth Western Collegiate Hockey Association loss of the season by a score of 3-0.

The Beavers took an early 2-0 lead on goals from Erin Johnson at 3:17 and a power play score from Annie Bauerfeld at 3:50.

Late in the second period (19:28), Bemidji State talleid a power play goal courtesy of Keirstin Visser giving them a 3-0 lead heading into the third.

Minnesota State goaltender Alli Altmann finished the afternoon with 26 saves against the Beavers.  MSU out-shot Bemidji State 37-29 in the contest. Minnesota State went 0-4 with an extra skater while the Beavers ended the afternoon 2-3.

Minnesota State will play host to the Ohio State Buckeyes next weekend, January 15 and 16 at All Seasons Arena. Friday's contest will start at 7:07 p.m. and Saturday's at 3:07 p.m.
