Box Score Bemidji, Minn. --- The #5 Minnesota State Mavericks defeated the Bemidji State Beavers in their first NSIC match, 1-0 in overtime, in Bemidji Minn. Saturday afternoon.

Junior forward Laura Leber (Council Bluffs, Iowa) scored the game-winning goal at 97:34 in overtime for the Mavericks. Leber had three shots on goal in the first two periods. The goal moves Leber into fourth place on Minnesota State's career points list with 65 career points. Leber also sits in fourth place with 29 career goals.

The Mavericks posted ten shots on goal. Junior forward Jessie Audas (Omaha, Neb.) had two shots on goal along with senior midfielder Gina Paletta (Omaha, Neb.).

Senior goalkeeper Sheila Reynolds (St. Charles, Ill.) tallied one save in the match. The win earns Reynolds her 16th career shutout. Reynolds is now 5-0-0 on the season.

The Mavericks now 5-0-0, travel to Duluth Minn. to take on Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs Sunday, September 20, at 1:00 p.m.
