Maverick Women Host Bemidji State in First Home Series of Season

Mankato, Minn.--- The Minnesota State women’s hockey team continues conference play this weekend when they play host to Bemidji State University. Friday’s contest will have a 7:07 p.m. start time and Saturday’s contest will start at 3:07 p.m. Both game will be held at All Seasons Arena.

About Bemidji State: The Beavers are 2-7-1 on the season after hosting Wayne State last weekend. Bemidji State finished the weekend 1-1-0. The Beavers defeated Wayne State 3-1 in Friday’s contest, then lost to the Warriors in Saturday’s game, 6-1. BSU is led by junior forward Erin Johnson (5-2--7), junior forward Annie Bauerfeld (1-5--6) and sophomore goaltender Zuzana Tomcikova (2-4-0, 2.51, .925)

MSU/BSU History: The Mavericks are 20-15-7 all-time against the Beavers. In last years contests, Minnesota State went 2-2-0. The two victories came from a sweep at home, while the two loss’ came from getting swept on the road.
