Wayne, Neb. – The Minnesota State Volleyball team lost its fourth match of the season to #18 Wayne State. The Mavericks were defeated by scores of 25-18, 25-18 and 25-23.
In the loss, Minnesota State was led by junior outside hitter Amanda Beekman and freshman outside hitter Chelsea Fogarty with nine kills each. Sophomore setter Brittany Stamer earned a team best 28 assists.
Sophomore defensive specialist Alli Rice and Stamer led the team in digs with 25 digs each. Junior middle blocker Kimber Kuhl led the squad in blocks with five.
The Mavericks (21-4 overall, 11-2 NSIC) next action will be tomorrow afternoon, when they travel to Augustana College. The Match will start at 4:00 p.m.
