Mankato, Minn.--- The Minnesota State women’s hockey team opens conference play this weekend at North Dakota University. Saturday and Sunday’s contests will both be played at 2:07 p.m. at Ralph Engelstad Arena.

Maine Series Notes: The Mavericks began the 2009-10 season with a non-conference sweep on the road over the University of Maine Black Bears. The Mavericks defeated the Black Bears by a score of 5-2  Friday. MSU also captured a victory Saturday by a score of 2-1.
