What's in a Win: A win would push MSU's record to 8-0...MSU has never opened 8-0 in school history...It would also mark MSU's ninth consecutive win in Blakeslee Stadium...A win would also mark MSU's second straight victory over MSU Moorhead.
MSU Moorhead Musings: MSU Moorhead enters Saturday's game with a 2-5 record, including a 1-5 record in the NSIC. Last week, the Dragons suffered a 39-3 home loss to the University of Mary. Senior running back Enol Gilles led all Dragons wtih 40 yards of rushing on 19 carries. Freshman quarterback Zach Fry completed 22-of-44 passes for 204 yards and three interceptions while freshman wideout Matt Bir caught nine passes for 59 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, junior linebacker Jake Larson led the Dragons with 10 tackles.
For the season, MSU Moorhead averages 15.4 points per game while allowing 36.9. The Dragons are averaging 58.1 yards per game on the ground and 216.7 per game in the air. Gilles leads all rushers with 257 yards (36.7 ypg and 2.6 ypc) to go with two toucdhowns. Fry has completed 128-of-217 passes for 1,465 yards (209.3 ypg) and nine touchdowns and 13 interceptions. Joe Senior wideout Joe Johnson leads the team in receiving with 36 catches for 421 yards (60.1 ypg and 11.7 ypc).
Damon Tomeo is in his fourth season with the Dragons and owns a 14-24 record and is 0-1 against Minnesota State. Tomeo is currently on temporary paid leave and during his absence, offensive coordinator Joel Beard will serve as the head coach.
Series Info: Minnesota State leads the all-time series 19-14...Last year, MSU earned a 52-0 win at MSU Moorhead...The last time these two teams played in Mankato was on Oct. 10, 1981, with the Dragons earning a 45-0 victory.

Ticket Information: Single-game tickets for Saturday's game can be purchased at the Ticket Window underneath the scoreboard at Blakeslee Stadium 90 minutes prior to kickoff. Reserved seating tickets are $14 for adults and $7 for youth. General Admission seating is $10 for adults and $5 for youth and MSU students are admitted free with a current & valid MAVCARD.
