Box Score St. Paul, Minn. --- Seventh-ranked Minnesota State opened a 30-3 halftime advantage and never looked back en route to a 54-3 victory over Concordia University Saturday afternoon at Sea Foam Stadium on the campus of Concordia University.
The win moves MSU's record to 7-0 on the season, marking the first time in school history that it has won its first seven games.
The 54 points marks the 11th time in school history that Minnesota State has scored 50 or more points in a game.
“Our offensive line did a fantastic job,” said head coach
Todd Hoffner. “It was good to see our young guys get in there today. I am very happy with our players efforts, our coaches did a great job putting them in a position to win.”
Minnesota State scored on touchdown runs of 33-yards, 6-yards and 9-yards in the first half.

Jake Aberg led MSU with nine carries for 145 yards and two touchdowns. Aberg had touchdown runs of 33 yards and 59 yards.

Julian Phippss (9-yards, 12-yards) and redshirt freshman

Defensively, junior
Andrew Paik led MSU with six tackles. MSU hauled in four interceptions in the win, with junior
Troy Jones leading MSU with two picks. Rodgers had four tackles, two blocked field goals and a pass break-up in the win.
Minnesota State finished the game with 355 yards of total offense compared to CU’s 256. MSU had 310 yards on the ground, while Concordia finished with 75 yards rushing.
Minnesota State (7-0, 6-0 NSIC, 4-0 NSIC South) hosts Minnesota State Moorhead next Saturday at 1 p.m.
