Mackenzie Bruch

Mackenzie Bruch was hired in April, 2024 and completed her first season as Women's Hockey Assistant Coach in 2024-25. Bruch came to the Mavericks from Yale, where she was the women's hockey goaltending coach since 2021.

In her first season, she helped the Mavericks to a 14-21-2 overall record with wins over No. 8 St. Cloud State and No. 2 Ohio State.

Bruch began her time at Yale helping the Bulldogs achieve their most successful season in 2021-22, culminating in the program's first appearance in the NCAA Frozen Four National Semifinals. The team finished 26-9-1, including 10 shutouts (school record). Senior Gianna Meloni also broke the school record for lowest goals against average.
 
A year later, Yale achieved Ivy and ECAC Regular Season Championships. Goaltender Pia Dukaric was named ECAC Goaltender of the Year and a Top-10 National Goalie of the Year Finalist. This season, Dukaric set a career shutout record and became the quickest goaltender to reach 50 career wins.
 
Bruch has been featured in USA Hockey Magazine and has worked with numerous USA Hockey regional and national selection camps. She has been named USA Hockey's U18 Goaltending Coach for the 2025 IIHF World Championships in Vantaa, Finland Jan. 5-12 2025.
 
Bruch was USA Hockey's U22 Goaltending Coach in 2022 and 2023, which included two series wins over Team Canada. She is currently the U18 Goaltending Evaluator for USA Hockey and the Goaltending Evaluator for Girls U15, 16/17 and Boys U16 Player Development Camps.
 
Bruch has worked since June 2023 as a Goaltending Consultant/Scout for the Omaha Lancers (USHL) and as a Goaltending Coach for Albertus Magnus College (men's NCAA Division III hockey). She is also a head coach with Pro Crease Goaltending, where she generates full season development curriculum for goaltenders of all ages and skill levels.

The former Bemidji State University goaltender graduated in 2017 with a Master's in Business Administration and returned for the 2017-18 season as Director of Hockey and Video Operations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Finance (2016).
