Weingartz joined the Minnesota State Athletic Department in the fall of 2022 after spending five years professionally with the Orthopedic Institute in Sioux Falls, S.D. During his time there he served as the Head Athletic Trainer for the Sioux Falls Canaries, a professional baseball team in the American Association, while also serving as the Head Athletic Trainer at Dell Rapids High School. Additionally, he also provided outreach for surrounding Sioux Falls Area Schools and worked in the clinic.
A 2015 graduate of UW-Stout, Weingartz earned a Master's Degree from South Dakota State in 2017. While at SDSU, Weingartz spent his first year working with the Brookings Blizzard Junior Hockey Team, the SDSU Track and Field team, Washington High School and the SDSU Football program. His second year in Brookings, Weingartz worked with the Jackrabbit baseball squad.
At Minnesota State, Weingartz works with the Maverick volleyball and softball squads.
