Cailey Priem has been a Certified Athletic Trainer with Minnesota State since 2017 and was named the Associate Head Athletic Trainer in July of 2019.
A 2008 graduate of Minnesota State, Priem earned a Masters of Science in Exercise and Sports Medicine from Western Michigan in 2010.
In her current roll, Priem oversees the supervision of eight assistant athletic trainers and provides direct care for the men’s basketball and men’s and women’s golf teams. Additionally, she assists in developing and enforcing all athletic training policies procedures for Minnesota State’s 18 NCAA Division II sports programs.
Priem also is the lead coordinator between all athletic programs and the school’s secondary insurance company and works directly with other health care providers to ensure proper billing and coverage of that secondary policy.
Prior to her position at Minnesota State, Priem was an assistant athletic trainer at Bethany Lutheran College, serving as the departments Senior Women’s Administrator from 2014-2017.
Priem has been a Certified Athletic Trainer since 2008. She also earns certifications in: National Provider Identifier Standard (National Plan Provider Enumerations System), National Strength & Conditioning Association (Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist), American Red Cross (CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer), ImPACT (ImPACT Trained Athletic Trainer), Graston Technique (Graston Technician) and Smart Tools LLC (Blood Flow Restriction).
Priem and her husband Travis, have a daughter Harper.
