Aspen Giese joined the Minnesota State women's basketball coaching staff in the summer of 2026.
Prior to joining the Mavericks, Giese served as a varsity assistant coach with the Billings West High School (Nov. 2025 - March 2026). She would offer strategic support for offensive and defensive game planning and collaborate with coaching staff on program operations.
As a student-athlete, Gies was a three-year starter with the Montana State Billings women's basketball team (Aug. 2021 - March 2025). She finished her four-year career at MSU Billings in the top-20 in scoring (1,184), assists (279) and rebounds (591). Giese also finished her career in the top-five in three-point shooting, and set a program record in three pointers made during her season season where she led all of NCAA Division II.
Giese earned her bachelor's degree in mathematics with a teach option from MSU Billings in December, 2025.
