King began at Minnesota State in August of 2024 as an assistant athletic trainer and worked with track and field, cross country and swimming and diving teams. She graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in health science from the College of St. Scholastica in 2023 and earned a master's of science in athletic training in 2024. While in graduate school, King worked with the athletic teams at St. Scholastica, UW-Superior, Minnesota Duluth, Denfeld High School, Waseca High School and Bethany Lutheran College.
She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers Association and the Minnesota Athletic Trainers Association. She has a BOC certification and Minnesota state license. She completed her CPR/AED for professional rescuers certification with the American Red Cross.
