Biography
2014-15: Received the MSU Sportsmanship Award…Named an NSISC Scholar Athlete…Finished eighth at the NSISC Championships in the 1,000-yard freestyle…Finished in the second place in the 200-yard IM and in third place in the 200-yard freestyle against MSU Moorhead.
2013-14: Was named the NSIC Swimmer of the Week twice…Won the 1,000-yard freestyle, the 500-yard freestyle and the 200-yard IM against South Dakota…Took fourth place in the 400-yard IM at the NSIC Championships…Finished in seventh place in the 1,000-yard freestyle at the NSIC Championships and fifth in the 1,650-yard freestyle.
High School: Sechena was the 2012 Montana state champion in the 200 and 500-freestyle and was also a member of the 400-yard freestyle relay championship squad...Won the state champion in the 500-yard freestyle in 2011 and the runner-up in the 200...She is the state record holder in the 800-meter freestyle for 15 and 16-year old girls and during her career she has been a member of five state championship squads (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012).
Personal: Daughter of Bob and Dawn Sechena…Born August 1, 1995…Proposed nursing major… 2013 graduate from Charles M. Russel High School.
