Biography

2010:  Was named an Academic All-NSIC...Was named All-America Scholar-Athlete by the NFCA...Batted .331 last season which leads all returners...Recorded 13 extra basehits last year, including eight doubles  and five home runs...Turned in 14 multi-hit games which is the most among returners....Had one four-hit game and 13 two-hit affairs...Finished with 31 RBI...Had nine multi-RBI games, including three two-RBI contests, five three-RBI games and a four-RBI game...Started 44 games at third base and five at catcher...Was named the league’s Offensive Player of the Week after the season-opening series against Concordia.

2009: Was named Second-Team All-Central Region by Louisville Slugger/NFCA...Was named All-America Scholar-Athlete by the NFCA...Had 11 multi-hit games and six multi-RBI games...Went 2-for-2 with three runs scored, seven RBI, a double and a home run in MSU’s win over Valley City Atate (3/1) in the Husky Dome Invite...Played primarily at first base, but also saw time at catcher and as designated player.

Pre-MSU: Played softball at Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa, where she saw time at catcher, first and third base…Batted .333 last season for Simpson, playing in 40 of 41 games and starting 39…Belted eight home runs which established a new single-season home run record at Simpson…Was named Second-Team All-Midwest Region…Helped guide the Storm to regional play. 

High School: A 2007 graduate of Valley High School... Named second-team all-state as a senior as her team won the state championship...Played in 2007 Iowa Coaches Association All-Star Game...Chosen honorable mention all-state as a sophomore and as a junior...Selected First-Team All-CIML as a junior and as a senior...A second team All-Conference selection as a sophomore...Lettered in cross country...Marched in the 2004 Rose Bowl Parade as a member of the Valley Drumline.

Personal: Born Sept. 30, 1988...Daughter of Doug and Cathleen O’Neal...Pursuing a major in communication skills and a minor in technical communications.
