PRONUNCIATION:
2024: NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence... Played in 10 games for the Mavericks... Totaled one shot on goal and 160 minutes... Marked season-high 32 minutes at Sioux Falls (Oct. 18)... Member of NCAA Division II National Runner-Up team.
2023: Appeared in 11 games with zero starts and 160 minutes for the Mavericks in first season... Totaled three shot attempts and one shot on goal.
High School: Fischer is the third Mankato native set to join the Mavericks in the fall of 2023...The incoming Mankato East defender played a pivotal role in the success of the Cougars since the seventh grade and will look to provide the same stability to a stout MSU backfield...A valued member of Mankato East’s track and field program, the speedy defender offers elite offensive and defensive play on all sides of the field...In her senior year, Julia racked up three goals and five assists while assisting in 14 shutouts as she played every minute of the season...For her incredible play her senior year, she was nominated for Minnesota’s Ms. Soccer as well as the All-State team for the second consecutive year.
Personal: Julia is the daughter of Andrew Fischer and Christine McDonald...Her mother, Christine, played lacrosse for Susquehanna University and graduated with her master’s degree from MSU...Julia plans to major in Biology with a minor in Spanish
