Biography
2024-25: Competed in all 11 events for the Mavericks and averaged 79.1 strokes per round…Finished in the top-20 four times, including a second place finish at the SMSU Classic (+16) and a 13th place finish at the Watkins Invitational (+8)…Was MSU’s top finisher in three events…Took 16th place at the NSIC Championships with a +25…Also competed at the NCAA Central Region Championships where she finished in 69th with a +21…Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence and the CSC Academic All-District Team.
2023-24: CSC Academic All-District... Was a Second-Team All-NSIC selection... Shot an 82-83--165 which was tied for tenth at the Maverick Invite to open the year... At the Tracy Lane Memorial Invite, Winter was 12th with a 82-81--163... Winter as tied for 12th at the CSP-MSU Fall Brawl with a 83-78--161... Her 76-71--147 was good for fifth at the Watkins Invitational... Finished tied for 20th at the Grace Shin Invitational with a 80-71--151... Was 12th at the Midwest Intercollegiate with a 73-78--151 (+12)... Has played in all six spring events, including the NSIC and NCAA Central Region tournaments... Finished second at the UIU Spring Invite with an 81-80--161... For her career she has played in 38 rounds as a Maverick and has four top-ten finishes and is averaging an 79.4 and for the season she is averaged a 79.1.
2022-23: Saw action in three tournaments in the fall... Averaged 81.8 over the course of six rounds... Shot a season-low 77 at the Augustana Regional Preview (Oct. 8)... Tied for 2nd at the Maverick Invitational (Aug. 30) with rounds of 81-81 for a total of 162... Played in four events in the spring... Shot a spring-best 80-79--159 at the Wildcat Classic.
Personal: Played played two seasons at Iowa Lakes Community College... State qualifier as a junior and senior, finishing sixth during her senior r campaign... Member of the National Honor Society and a Presidential Scholar... Was named to the All-Iowa Academic Team... Was a NJCAA Academic All-American as a freshman and sophomore at Iowa Lakes... Daughter of Jo Ann Winter and Joe Winter... Majoring in graphic design at Minnesota State.
