Minnesota State University - Mankato Athletics

Trisha Hagensick enters her second season as a graduate assistant at Minnesota State. A native of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Hagensick was a four-year starter at Upper Iowa University during her four-year career at Upper Iowa; Hagensick was a standout in the outfield and second base.

After her career at Upper Iowa, Hagensick began coaching at Cedar Rapids – Jefferson where she was an assistant varsity coach as well as head JV coach. As a member of the CRJ coaching staff, Hagensick helped guide the J-Hawks to the state tournament the past two years getting a 5th and 7th place finish. During the summer of 2015, season also helped the J-Hawks to a four place finish as well.

During her first season with the Purple and Gold, Hagensick helped the Mavericks to a 38-23 record, including a third-place finish in the NSIC standings with a 20-10 conference record. The 2015 season also saw a pair of Mavericks in Tatum Klein and Coley Ries claim all region honors.

Hagensick is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Educational Leadership.
