High School: A two-sport athlete from Atkins, Iowa, Alyse Harvey played both softball and basketball at Benton Community High School...She was a three-year starter with the basketball team and a two-year starter in the infield with the softball team...As an eighth grader she claimed an all-conference honorable mention as she batted .329 in 38 games...Harvey followed up with another all-conference honorable mention during her freshman season as she batted .303 as she helped her team reach the state tournament...After sitting out her sophomore season, Harvey would go on to claim all-conference and All-State honors as a junior after batting .524, to go along with a .560 on-base percentage and a .702 slugging percentage.
