Scott Rideout

A native of Fruitvale, B.C., Scott Rideout joined the Minnesota State men’s hockey staff in the summer of 2008.
 
Rideout, who spent 2006-07 and 2007-08 handling equipment responsibilities for the Mavericks women’s hockey program, is a University of Calgary graduate. He tended goal for the Dinos from 1997-2002.  

A product of the Western Hockey League where he played for Portland, Calgary and Edmonton from 1993-97, Rideout was a two-time academic All-Canadian and was the University of Calgary’s Most Valuable Player in 2001-02.  He spent part of the 2001-02 postseason with Idaho of the West Coast Hockey League and toiled with Ft. Wayne of the United Hockey League in 2002-03.

Rideout holds a master’s degree from MSU in educational leadership. He and his wife, Mandy (she played for the Minnesota State women’s hockey team from 1998-2002), and two daughters (Jaydee and Kenzie), reside in Mankato.
