2017-18: Sported 23-6-1 won-loss record, 1.80 goals against averarge, .914 save percentage and three shutouts in 31 games played...Made the last 17 starts of the season for the Mavericks...23 wins tied for fourth in the nation and rank fourth on the school's all-time single-season list...He led the WCHA with a 1.67 GAA in league games and was named All-WCHA Third Team...Named WCHA Goaltender of the Month for January (4-0-0 with a 1.16 goals against average, .937 save percentage and a shutout in five appearances in the month of January. He stopped all 15 shots he faced in backstopping Minnesota State to a 1-0 win over #9 Minnesota Duluth on Jan. 23 for third career shutout)....Named WCHA Goaltender of the Month for February (7-0-1 with a 1.81 goals against average and a .921 save percentage in eight appearances in the month of February)...Named a semi-finalist for the Mike Richter Award as the top goaltender in NCAA DI hockey.
THE LaCOUVEE FILE: Came to Minnesota State after three seasons with Boston University (2014-15, 2015-16 and 2016-17)...Had 2.80 goals against average, .905 saves percentage and 14-9-5 record in 32 games played during course of career with Terriers...Played two seasons in the British Columbia Hockey League (with Alberni Valley and Cowichan Valley) prior to playing at BU....Posted .920 save percentage and 2.82 goals-against average in 2013-14 to earn team MVP honors with Alberni Valley ...
