As a Maverick: Four-year letterwinner (2013-14, 2014-15, 2015-16), 2016-17...Established school record for shut-outs with 11 in four-year college career...Finished career ranking fifth at Minnesota State for career wins with 46 victories.
2016-17: Selected to WCHA 2016-17 All-Academic Team and WCHA Scholar-Athlete honoree...Named WCHA Defensive Player of the Week (third time in career) after backstopping Mavericks to 3-1 an 4-0 wins over #17 Michigan Tech Oct. 7-8, 2017...Finished senior season with 8-6-1 record, 2.29 goals against average and .902 save percentage...Stopped 47 of 51 shots (.922 sv%, .1.92 GAA) as Minnesota State picked up five of six points in the two games vs. Lake Superior State (Nov. 4-5).
2015-16: Selected to WCHA 2015-16 All-Academic Team... Led WCHA in goals against average with 1.46 mark in 14 league games...Posted 13-11-2 record on season, with .917 save percentage and 1.84 goals against average...Earned shut-outs in backstopping Minnesota State to wins vs. Lake Superior State (8-0, 17 saves, Jan. 22), Alaska Anchorage (3-0, 15 saves, Feb. 26) and Lake Superior State (3-0, 22 saves, March 13)...Earned WCHA Defensive Player of the Week honors after Mavericks swept Lake Superior State Jan. 22-23...Earned All-Tournament honors at 2016 Final Five.
2014-15: Selected to WCHA 2014-15 All-Academic Team... Posted 4-2-0 record on season owning a .863 save percentage and 2.61 goals against average.
2013-14: Backstopped Mavericks to Broadmoor Trophy championship at 2014 Final Five and was named tournament’s Most Outstanding Player...Finished year with a 21-8-1 won-loss record, 1.88 goals against average and a .926 save percentage in inaugural campaign with Minnesota State... Picked up WCHA Goaltending Champion honors after leading the league in goals against average, and was also was named All-WCHA Second Team and was a member of 2013-14 WCHA All-Rookie Team... Was named to the 2013-14 CHN All-Rookie Team, set school records for season goals against average (1.88), save percentage (.926) and shut-outs (6) as a rookie and was named WCHA Defensive Player of the Week after a road sweep at Lake Superior State (Feb. 28-March 1) and WCHA Rookie of the Week after stopping all nine shots faced in a period and half of relief work in a 4-3 loss to Bowling Green and followed that with first career shut-out in 1-0 overtime win over Bowling Green Nov. 8-9)... Went 11-1-1 with a 1.27 goals against average and a .949 sv% in last 13 games played to finish season in helping to lead Mavericks to its second consecutive appearance in the NCAA postseason tournament...Posted career-high 36 saves in Minnesota State’s 4-0 win over Bowling Green in the semi-finals of WCHA Final Five March 21st.
THE HUGGINS FILE: Three-year veteran of British Columbia Hockey League, played two years with Coquitlam (he also played for Langley in 2010-11)...Finished 2012-13 season with Coquitlam finishing with a 22-23-1 won-loss record, 3.40 goals against average and .905 save percentage ...Named BCHL Player of the Week at beginning of September of 2012-13 season after posting an unblemished record at BCHL Showcase (74 saves in two games including all 40 in a 1-0 overtime win against Victoria where he was named 2nd Star and 34-save effort in 3-0 win over Cowichan Valley and was named 1st Star)...
