Tower, Minn., native Brennan Poderzay joined the Minnesota State men's staff as a volunteer goaltending coach during the course of the 2015-16 season.
After a stand-out prep career at Hibbing (Minn.) High School, Poderzay played a season in the North American Hockey League with the Southern Minnesota Express and year with Soo of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League before splitting the 2007-08 campaign between Aurora and Pickering of the Ontario Junior Hockey League. Following three seasons of college hockey at St. Scholastica, he played professional hockey for six years, five of which were in Europe. Poderzay also serves as the Minnesota Regional Goalie Scout and mentor for the USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program.
