Sam Lundberg

Sam Lundberg is in his first season with the Minnesota State football team after being named the team's tight ends coach in Jan. 2021.

Lundberg joins the Mavericks after spending the previous two seasons at Ellsworth Community College. In 2019, Lundberg worked as the team's tight ends coach and director of operations, before assuming the offensive line coaching position in 2020. He also served as the team's recruiting coordinator during his two seasons with the Panthers. Before joining the Ellsworth Community College, he also served as the Assistant Director of Football Operations at the University of New Mexico.

In 2017, Lundberg would join the Augustana as the Defensive Backs Coach. During his first season with the Vikings, Lundberg coached an All-NSIC Second Team selection and  a secondary that finished in the top four in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference. In 2018, Lundberg served as the Vikings' Tight Ends Coach.

Lundberg began his coaching career in 2016 as he served as the running backs coach at Gustavus Adolphus. During his one season as a member of the Gusties coaching staff, Lundberg coached an All-MIAC Second Team running back and a top five rushing offense in the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.

Lundberg, who played four season as a quarterback at Gustavus Adolphus, graduated in the spring of 2016 with a bachelor's degree in Physical and Health Education. Her is currently pursuing his master's degree in Sports Administration and Leadership at Augustana and is on track to graduate this spring.Â
