Minnesota State University - Mankato Athletics

The Minnesota State Athletic Department will host its inaugural Virtual 5K on Saturday, June 20, 2020.  The event is $30 for participants and all who register will receive a virtual race bib and a virtual completion certificate.  All proceeds from the 5k will benefit student-athlete scholarships within Minnesota State Athletics.  For a  $60 registration fee, runners may also select our Virtual 5k Premium Package which includes your choice of a MAVPACK (eight general admission adult tickets or 16 general admission youth tickets for any regular season event excluding hockey; $75 value) or a Junior Maverick Membership (For Maverick fans 13 and under; free admission to all regular season events excluding hockey; $60 value).

What to know:
    •  Since the race is a virtual 5K, it can take place wherever you are.  Participants can run or walk the race, whether that be on their favorite course, loop, trail or treadmill.
    •  To receive the virtual completion certificate, runners must update the following form (located HERE) which will record their name and race time.  
    •  Participants can submit their "Sweaty Selfie" afterward to include on their completion certificate.  Selfies can be submitted HERE
    •  If you are submitting a photo of someone under 18, please fill out the photo consent form located HERE
    •  All participants are encouraged to follow social distancing guidelines -  please participate in a manner that is safe for all who are involved.
    •  Awards will be given to the fastest times (overall, male, female and 13 and under) as well as the farthest to participate from campus.
    •  Participants who are 13 and under will be eligible to enter a drawing to win a free Junior Maverick Membership (value $60) during the 2020-2021 season.  Results must be submitted in order to qualify.
