The purpose of the Maverick Dance Team is to support the athletic department, other athletic teams & groups at Minnesota State, to attend campus and community events, and represent MSU at Collegiate National competitions.
Tryouts:
All prospective dancers should try to attend the MSU Dance Clinic on February 25th, prior to tryouts. This is not required but is a great way to see material like at tryouts, get feed back, and ask questions before tryouts. Tryouts are a two day process where dancers will learn a pom routine, jazz routine, game day material, and across the floor technique. Dancers will also have the opportunity to showcase their own style by performing a 1 minute solo of choice if selected to move on to day two of tryouts.
