The Minnesota State Cheer Teams can be seen cheering at all home Basketball, Football, and Men's Hockey games.
As a cheer team member, you are a visible representative not only of the athletic teams you support, but also the University and the entire state. You are some of the most important ambassadors we have and you are expected to conduct yourself accordingly on and off the playing field.
Members of the MSU Cheer Team devote 15-20 hours per week to practices/work-outs, games, and other special appearances.
Like student athletes, cheer team members must maintain high academic standards, and carry a full credit load in order to participate.
The Minnesota State Cheer Team does not provide scholarships at this time.
Hockey Cheer Team:
This team consists of 8-15 members who cheer for all home NCAA Division I hockey games at Mayo Clinic Health Service Event Center. These members perform on and off the ice. Previous skating experience is required.
EXPENSES:
Members purchase their own three-piece uniform, poms, shoes, Nike Pros. MSU provides a team warm up. Members will also need to pay an athletic Fee. Competition fees may also apply. Fundraising is available throughout the school year.Â
