High School: A two-sport athlete from Beresford, S.D., Sydney Nelson played four seasons of club softball with the South Dakota Renegades...She also helped her team to three state championships, to go along with a second-place finish at nationals during her freshman season...She has batted .333 or better during in three seasons, including a .415 average as a junior...Nelson also played three seasons with the Beresford High School basketball team...She was named to the academic honor roll four times and is a member of the National Honor Society.
