High School: A pitcher from Clive, Iowa, Mackenzie Ward was a four-time letterwinner with the Valley High School softball team...Ward received all-conference honors as a sophomore and as a junior and during her junior season, she boasted a 22-2 record and a 1.39 ERA, to go along with 77 strikeouts...For her efforts as a junior Ward received all-district and All-State First Team honors.
