High School: A catcher from Mankato, Minn., Richards played five seasons at Mankato East High School...During her first four seasons with the Cougars, Richards has batted .457 with 83 RBI, 85 runs scored and 34 extra base hits...She also received three all-conference, all-city and all-section honors during that stretch, to go along with All-State Second Team honors in 2015 and All-State First Team honors in 2016...Richards also excelled in the classroom as she garnered Big Nine Academic All-Conference and Academic All-State accolades...During her first four seasons at Mankato East, Richards set a school record with 176 career hits...Her 176 career hits also ranked first in 3A and 4A.
