Biography
2016-17: Finished in seventh place in the 1-meter diving event at the NSIC Championships with a score of 345.90…Took 12th place in the 3-meter diving event at the NSIC Championships with a score of 292.20…Won the 3-meter diving event against MSU Moorhead with a score of 214.30.
High School: A native of Elk River, Minn., Kovar began diving for the Elk River High School swimming and diving team as a junior...She earned a pair of letters during her junior and senior seasons, and went on to receive all-conference honors in 2015...She also posted the ninth-highest finish in school history in the 1-meter diving event with a score of 367.75...She then went on to post a fifth place finish in sections...Along with her exploits in the pool, Kovar also earned five letters in gymnastics at Elk River High School to go along with three all-conference honors...She was named a team captain during her junior and senior seasons and went on to claim All-State and Academic All-State honors during her senior campaign...Also competed in gymnastics and track and field.
Personal: Krista is the daughter of Brian and Cheryl Kovar...Born June 20, 1997...Majoring in chemistry.
