Minnesota State University - Mankato Athletics

2018-19: Received the NSIC Myles Brand Award and was named to the NSIC All-Academic Team/Team of Excellence…Took sixth place in the 100 breaststroke (1:05.55) and 12^th place in the 200 breaststroke (2:25.60) at the NSIC Championships…Posted a season-best time of 59.25 in the 100 butterfly event at the NSIC Championships.

2017-18: Was named to the NSIC All-Academic honors team...Took 11th in the 200 IM with a time of 2:11.94 at NSIC Championships...Placed 8th in the 100 IM with a 1:01.62...Finished 7th in the 100 breaststroke in 1:06.14 at NSIC Championships...Took 3rd in the 200 breaststroke, earning All-NSIC honors, with a time of 2:21.71.

2016-17: Was a member of the 200 medley relay team that set a pool record (1:47.95)…Finished second at the NSIC Championships in the 200 breaststroke event with a time of  2:22.73…Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team…Received a CSCAA Scholar All-American honor…Posted career-bests in the 100 IM (1:02.72) and the 200 IM (2:14.99) events.

2015-16: Was a member of MSU’s record-setting relay teams in the 200-yard medley relay (1:42.78) and the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:33.88) teams…Finished in fifth place in the 200-yard breaststroke event at the NSISC Championships with a time of 2:23.85…Named to the NSISC All-Academic Team…Won the 200-yard breaststroke event at the UW-Stevens Point Invite with a time of 2:25.96…Posted a pair of second place finished against MSU Moorhead in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:08.64) and the 200-yard breaststroke (2:26.61).

High School: A conference champion in the 100-yard breaststroke, Holwerda also holds three school records in the 100-yard breaststroke, 200-yard IM, and the 200-yard medley relay...Holwerda qualified for the state championship meet in 2012, 2013, and 2014...She was a state finalist in 2014 and made the top-8 in the 100-yard breaststroke...She has received multiple all-conference honors, was awarded Academic All-State, and was named team captain her senior year.
 
Personal: Alycia is the daughter of Christine Kubesh and Scott Holwerda...Born July 24, 1997...She is currently undecided on a major.
