Biography

2012-2013: Qualified for the NCAA Championship for the fourth time...Went 1-2 at nationals...Finished 14-9 in his senior campaign...2-0 in major decisions...Won the Luther College Open...Went 4-2 in NSIC action.

2011-12: Redshirted.

2010-11: Qualified for national championship for third- consecutive year after winning the 184 lb championship at the NCAA Super Region 3 where he posted a 4-0 record...Went on to finish fourth at nationals after posting a 3-2 record...Earned All-American honors for the second time as a Maverick...Earned NSIC First-Team All-Conference honors...Led the team in wins posting a 29-10 overall record...Finished 13-1 in dual matches...Finished sixth at the Iowa State Open on Nov. 13 after posting a 2-3 record...Finished fifth at the Nebraska-Omaha Open with a 3-2 record...Earned first-place honors at the St. Cloud State Open with a perfect 3-0 record...Wins in St. Cloud State Open included a technical fall (23-6), a major decision (15-2) and a win by fall (1:45).

2009-10: Earned his first ever All-American honors after finishing the season with a 16-11 record…Placed seventh in the NCAA Division II National Championship after recording a 3-2 record at the event.

2008-09: Placed third at NCAA North Regional and advanced to first NCAA Division II National Championships...Went 1-2 at national meet and did not place...Went 13-10 in maiden season with three falls.

High School: Three-time placewinner at Minnesota state tournament competing for Maple River High School...Placed sixth as a sophomore and second in both junior and senior seasons...Compiled an overall record of 177-36 to rank second on school win chart...Coached by Jeff Soma.

Personal: Son of Joe and Mary Norgren...Majoring in law enforcement.
