Biography

2011: Erickson started all 59 games, 38 of which are in centerfield, 21 of which are at first base…Older sister of sophomore Lindsay Erickson…Was a First Team All-NSIC  and a NFCA First Team All-Central selection for the…Co-led MSU in home runs (11) and led the team in runs scored (47), runs batted in (50) , walks (36) and stolen bases (16)…Is second on the team in batting average (.333), slugging percentage (.594), on base percentage (.459), hits (55), total bases (98) and hit by pitch (3)…Hit .600 with the bases loaded and .643 with runners on third and less than two outs…Successfully moved runners 55.1 percent of the time…Had 14 multiple hit-games, all of which were two-hit games, with the most recent being against Northern State (4/23)…Had a season-high four RBI at Bemidji State (3/25) and leads MSU with 14-multiple-RBI games…Coaxed three walks twice this year, most recently against South Dakota (3/2)…Had a season-high ten game hitting streak earlier this season…She ended the season reaching base in 14 straight games which tied her season high…Over the course of her career she has played in 220 games, starting 213 games and owns a .286 batting average with 120 runs scored…Led all active Mavericks in home runs (29) and RBI (132) while recording 32 doubles…The 29 homers lands her tied for second in home runs as her 132 RBI puts her second on the MSU charts...Was 21-of-26 in career stolen bases…Was named to the NSIC All-Tournament Team.

2011: Started all 70 games in centerfield...Batted .286 with 60 hits in 210 rips to the plate...Drove in 46 runs and scored 39 while recording ten doubles and nine home runs...Her nine home runs marked the second-highest total on the team...Finished with 12 sacrifice hits...Finished third in the NSIC in sacrifice hits (12), third in at bats (210) and fifth in plate appearances (235)...Last season she finished third on the single-season at bat chart and ninth on the single-season home run chart (9)... Additionally, she tied the single-season record for games played with 70....Recorded 17 multi-hit games and was tied for the team lead with 14 multiple-RBI games...Owned a season-long seven-game hitting streak and had a streak of seven straight games where she reached base.

2010: Started all 51 games, 30 in left field and 21 in centerfield...Recorded 17 extra basehits, including eight home runs, seven doubles and a pair of triples...Posted a .573 slugging percentage...Drove in 28 runs...Her 80 total bases last year led all returners...Boasted a .979 fielding percentage...Turned in nine multi-hit games and multi-RBI games...Her nine multi-RBI games leads all returners...Her longest hitting streak extended nine games. 

2009: 
Saw action in 33 games as either an outfielder or at designated player...Started in MSU’s last 13 games...Had four multi-hit games...Drove in eight runs on the season...Had 19 hits, five of which were doubles...Hit first career home-run in MSU’s win at MSU Moorhead...Went 3-for-3 with a double and two runs scored against Winona State.

High School: Four-time letter winner in volleyball and softball for Big Lake High School…Was also a three-year letterwinner in basketball…As a junior and senior was named all-state…Four-time All-Mississippi 8 selection…Took the Hornets to the state tournament as a sophomore, junior and senior…Finished third at state as a senior and fourth as a junior. 

Personal: Daughter of Jeff Erickson and Kelly Campbell…Younger sister Lindsay is a sophomore on this year’s team...Born Sept. 24, 1989…Majoring in geography with a minor in communications disorders.
